OVERVIEW
A B1/B2 visa is a non-immigrant visa for the United States, intended for short-term travel for business (B1) and tourism or medical treatment (B2). The B1 visa covers activities such as attending conferences, negotiating contracts, or consulting with business associates. The B2 visa is for leisure travel, including vacations, visiting family or friends, or seeking medical treatment.
All first-time application need to appear in person at the USA Consulate. In some cases, second time application, may be exempt from appearing in person.
Validity and Duration: The visa can be issued for a period ranging from a few months to 10 years, with multiple entries allowed. However, the maximum stay on a single visit is typically up to six months, as determined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection upon entry.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must demonstrate strong ties to their home country, ensuring their intention to return after their visit. This includes showing evidence of stable employment, family connections, or property ownership.
Travel Insurance including medical cover is required when travelling. It must cover the duration of the requested visa.
