OVERVIEW
The UK standard Visa Allows you to visit the UK for tourism, business, or to visit family and friends. You can also use it to participate in certain activities like attending meetings or conferences. You can stay for up to 6 months on a Standard Visitor Visa.
In some cases, visas can be granted for up to 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years if you frequently visit.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must demonstrate that they have a valid passport for 6 months,sufficient funds and a genuine intention to visit temporarily. You need to appear in person for biometrics at the visa application centre

On average: it’s typically around 3 weeks from the date of your appointment.
However, these times can vary, so it’s advisable to apply well in advance of your intended travel date, ideally a few months ahead, to allow for any potential delays
